Building Israeli Arab-Jewish Shared Society, Peace by Peace: Double your impact through our challenge grant

As we reflect on the nine months since the horrific events of October 7th, it is clear that Givat Haviva’s mission - to foster a shared society in Israel among all of its citizens - has never been more vital. The aftermath of October 7th and the war in Gaza have profoundly tested our Arab and Jewish staff, presenting challenges that once seemed unfathomable. Amidst these trials, fueled by extremists on both sides, we remain steadfast in our commitment to not just preventing the deterioration of Arab-Jewish relations but to see them flourish.

A mediation training program in Sakhnin prepares to establish the sixth center in the community mediation program in Arab society.

We are proud to share some significant milestones:

  • Emergency Shelter: We provided shelter to 45+ families from the south of Israel for three months, offering them safety and community.

  • Academic Intervention Programs: We initiated projects across educational institutions to ease tensions and foster mutual respect.

  • Encounter Programs: We initiated projects across educational institutions to ease tensions and foster mutual respect.

  • Cross-Sector Teacher Exchange: With a 99.99% retention rate of our 2,500 teachers, this program continues to demonstrate resilience and commitment.

  • Givat Haviva Forums: Presented to President Herzog's office, these forums gather Jewish and Arab professionals to foster collective impact.

  • Corporate Collaboration: Our work with the Kibbutzim Industrial Union and other prominent companies highlights the critical role of corporate involvement in promoting diversity and inclusion at work.

To further advance our mission, we are excited to announce a challenge grant opportunity! We aim to raise $50,000 to unlock this grant and amplify our impact. Every dollar you donate as a new supporter or as an increased contribution from last year will be matched, up to $12,500 per donor. Here's how you can make an even greater impact:

New Donors: If you haven't donated before or didn't donate last year, every dollar you give will be matched.

Returning Donors: If you increase your donation from last year, the additional amount will be matched.

Your continued support is vital for advancing our mission and driving positive and significant change. We invite you to renew your commitment and help spread our message of hope and solidarity for a better future for generations to come. Together, we can build an Israeli Arab-Jewish shared society, peace by peace.
